The Caribbean SEED STEM Summit is a regional initiative organized by the Caribbean Science Foundation aimed at promoting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as a key driver of economic growth and sustainable development in the Caribbean.
The summit is part of the broader SEED (STEM Engine for Economic Development) program, which seeks to build a strong innovation ecosystem by connecting Caribbean talent with global opportunities. It brings together a diverse group of participants including researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, educators, students, and policymakers to collaborate on advancing STEM-based solutions to regional challenges.
The event features keynote presentations from leading experts, panel discussions on emerging technologies, and research presentations focused on areas such as renewable energy, agriculture, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. A major highlight of the summit is the STEM Startup Challenge, where innovators and entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to potential investors and partners, gaining valuable exposure and feedback.
In addition to knowledge sharing, the summit provides opportunities for mentorship, networking, and collaboration. It also plays a critical role in encouraging Caribbean youth to pursue STEM careers while strengthening partnerships between academia, industry, and government.
